Wildcats Starts this weekend
We look forward to inviting any girls between the ages of 5 & 11 to our SSE Wildcats launch this Saturday between 9.30am and 11.00am @ Horam Recreation Ground.
Ian Dove – an FA Level 2 Qualified coach will be leading the session alongside some volunteers from the club. We are looking for more female assistants so please come along on the day if you want to help.
Wildcats was launched in 2017 as part of The FA’s strategy to double female football participation by 2020. After the success of 200 centres opening in its first year, with each one typically catering for 30 girls, The FA has extended the scheme with the creation of a further 772 centres across the country in 2018. Broadoak is one of these SSE Wilcats centres.
We hope the videos below give your daughter something to think over.
What is an SSE Wilcats centre?
This is the story of Sara, whose journey with football almost came to an end at school, where the boys made it tough for her to play with them.
By adding a touch of Disney magic to football sessions, we’re aiming to give girls up and down the country a great shot at building new skills, making friends and growing their self-confidence, on and off the pitch.
