The Broad Oak & Horam World Cup day – 29th June 2019

At Broad Oak & Horam JFC we are very lucky as we have a World Cup event every year!

The Bertie Adams TrophyOur World Cup Day is an annual event for the registered players in the club; each Broad Oak team is split into 4 national teams, England, Spain, Brazil and Italy. They then play a World Cup tournament within each age group, with points given for a win, draw and even a loss. The points across all the age groups in the club are eventually added up and a winning country is crowned World Cup Champions.

Every year the teams play for the Bertie Adams trophy which has very special significance to Broad Oak & Horam JFC; as well as the right to hold aloft our own World Cup. Each player in the winning team will also get a World Cup medal.

So if you haven’t attended our World Cup Day before you are in for a treat.

Everyone in the club is invited and your team managers should have either already told you the team you are playing in or will be doing so very soon. Entrance to the tournament is only £1 per player and there will be refreshments and a BBQ.

Worried you haven’t got anything for them to wear in their given team colour, England [white], Spain [red], Brazil [yellow] and Italy [blue]!  Well don’t be, for just £10 you can purchase one of our amazing official World Cup T-shirts on the day.

See you there!
