FA Charter Standard Development Clubs
This is an exciting and very proud moment for the Club as it recognises our commitment to providing a quality playing environment for young people who want to learn and enjoy football and our commitment to the future development of our players, our coaches and our club within the local community. It underlines our desire to encourage respect, fair play and inclusion and that safeguarding and the welfare of our players is at the core of our ethos.
We are now one of only 19 Development Clubs throughout the whole of Sussex (compared to around 80 Charter Standard Clubs).
On behalf of the Club Committee, I would like to thank our Welfare Officer, Laura James, who has been instrumental in bringing this enhanced status to Broad Oak & Horam JFC. Over the past few months she has worked with Sussex FA to make sure we have all the elements in place within the club to ensure the award would be made. Without the work she has done, this would not have been possible.
I would also add my thanks to every one of the committee, all of our managers and coaches, every player and every parent for their commitment to this club. Together we are Broad Oak & Horam JFC… an FA Charter Standard Development Club. That’s something we should all be incredibly proud of.
